It’s been an interesting and varied week. The bar is finally going in to Wallace & Co and I expect great things. Annabel wants me to learn how to run the bar, I think sitting at it drinking is a far better alternative. I won’t be able to chat to people if I’m working. Drunk is a much better idea.
I really enjoyed judging rugby players, Phil Vickery, Olly Kohn, Nick Easter and Lee Mears in the Scrum Dine with Me event for the Wooden Spoon Society. Vickers won, well of course he did, he’s celebrity MasterChef champion.
On the TV front, I finished the voiceover for the Supermarkets series and that should be on your screens, BBC1 in September. I have also started work on a BBC2 series called Harvest, looking very closely and working with the people that produce our home grown larder. Very excited about this.
Showbiz highlight of the week was probably the Hello magazine 25th birthday party, I didn’t realise I would know so many people there, but over the years I must have become a lovey. I had a brilliant time, it was really well done, goodbye fruit and veg, hello magazine!
I celebrated my mate Paul’s 55th birthday with drinks at the Café Royal, followed by a curry. Sheer class, my mate Paul.
I am working on a hot dog project, that’s all I can say for now, more news to follow.
