The first thing I want to share with you is the Instagram clip of my little Sid counting has got over 1 million views. That’s incredible, Anna and I are overwhelmed by your wonderful messages. Thank you very much indeed.
I did go to the O2 with my old mate, Jamie, and had a fabulous night. We’ve been friends since we were about 16 and it’s always great to meet up with him even if I do drink a little bit too much.
I attended and gave away an award at the Smiley Charity Film Awards at the Odeon Leicester Square. What a wonderful occasion, so moving to see so much great work done by some incredible charities. Well done to everybody who took part.
I did go up to Lincolnshire and did my first ever live-streaming event with my friend and business partner, Peter McDermott, at his new garden nurseries. That was great fun. He showed me how to grow fruits in pots and I brought along things that I’d cooked with fruit. All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed it and want to do more.
I stayed at The Finch’s Arms pub, restaurant and hotel in Rutland and was really rather taken with it. I also had a good dinner at Hitchen’s Barn in Oakham.
Quite a busy week – I went from Rutland up the road to Loughborough University. Loughborough are the official academic research partner of GreggWallace.health. I enjoy my time up there and this time I sat in on a panel discussing the reduction of food waste. It’s an important topic and I found the panellists enlightening.
On Saturday, we had friends, David and Claire over, and we attended a spring fair at my little boy Sid’s school in Kent. It’s a special-needs school. It does an amazing job and it’s called Five Acre Wood.
On Sunday. I had breakfast at my mum’s house. Always enjoyed her egg and bacon baps.
