I’ve started filming professional Masterchef again. What a joy! Absolutely superb and sublime food. It really is a great pleasure to be part of this competition.
I want to mention a restaurant called Boys Hall near Ashford in Kent not far from where I live. Lovely setting, lots of outdoor space, staffed by confident people who obviously enjoy what they’re doing and a very confident kitchen. Very much enjoyed it – can’t wait to go back.
I also want to mention another restaurant that I found by accident – it’s called Zayna and it does really good Indian food. It’s not far from Marble Arch down the road from my club Home Grown. I was out drinking with a friend of mine, Damion, and it’s a particular favourite of his. Thank you to Riz the owner I had a lovely, if slightly drunken, time. Looking forward to visiting again.
It was my mum’s birthday. 80 years old – well done, Mum, love you very much.
