The filming of MasterChef’s new series is well underway. Very much looking forward to you seeing it. That does mean that I spend a lot of time in London away from the family but hey.
I am an ambassador for the Ambitious About Autism Charity which raises funds for the education of autistic children. With the help of a wonderful guy called Peter McDermott, we are producing a “Little Sid” rosebush, with £5 going to the Charity on each one sold. I will give you more details at some point.
I attended a wonderful charity dinner hosted by the Wooden Spoon Society with legends of World Rugby. I did drink a little bit too much Guinness but what a great cause.
I had two meetings on Friday with some very interesting production companies. One of them wanted to discuss the possibility of a programme looking at how takeaways are impacting the nation’s health. The other company was interested in life with an autistic boy, of course, our little Sid.
I had a wonderful lunch this week at the fantastic Pizarro in Bursey. Spanish food at its absolute best. Clams, squared tomato bread, Padron peppers and the most amazing ham.
I’ve also picked up a stinking cold, which has disrupted my family social plans, but there you go.
