Haven’t blogged in a while, I’ve been incredibly busy as always. But more importantly, my PA Helen who’s typing this now has been away.
Right, what have I been up to? Well, I went to see U2, they put on an incredible visual show, virtually cut the stadium in half with an enormous screen, Bono talked to us about politics and it was very noisy but in the end they did play the 3 songs that everybody liked.
We celebrated bonfire night in my back garden with some very lovely hotdogs and some rather scary fireworks. I had my own instructions, light fuse on large rocket box and run like hell.
I had a lovely lunch at Galvin’s Bistrot de Luxe on Baker Street. I’d forgotten just how good that place is, real value for money, smart French food in smart surroundings and not expensive.
I am filming a new series of MasterChef with John Torode, you will see that next year. It’s great fun and I am thoroughly enjoying myself and we have discovered some amazing cooks. I am also about to start filming an Eat Well for Less Christmas special. This I believe is going to be a real eye opener.
I am off to see Wasps play Gloucester tomorrow with my son, Tom. Very much looking forward to having a beer with James Haskell and Richard Hibbard – go WASPS!
I have another dinner at Le Gavroche next week; don’t need to say how much I love that place.
There’s a new series of Professional MasterChef coming out, so Monica, Marcus, and I are going to be making an appearance on The One Show on Wednesday.
Wow, it’s a full on week. On Sunday 15th I am in Manchester for The Cake & Bake show, see you there.
I’ll be at the Spurs v Chelsea match on Sunday 29th, bit of lunch in the Oak Room first of course, don’t want to slum it!
