There was a week’s gap in filming, so we filled it full of other interesting stuff.
On Monday. I had lunch at a restaurant called Brigade. It was set up by Price Waterhouse Cooper and it’s a registered charity. Everybody in there is rebuilding their life. The food is fantastic because they have a permanent Italian chef, but everybody else there needed some help and is obviously on an upward journey, it’s going to become a regular for me.
I was taken there by a lady called Rachel, who has an agency called Get Synergised and she helps companies link up with charities that want to do good work in the community. Well done Rachel.
On Tuesday evening I had a wonderful time filming a comedy quiz panel show with Rob Beckett, a funny, warm man. Incredible fun.
On Wednesday, I was the keynote speaker at an event for public sector catering and I gave them a talk on my fears of the rising rates of obesity and a lack of cookery knowledge in society. I met some wonderful people. Thank you for your hospitality, no pun intended.
I started to record for my Podcast due to be released in January. It’s called “Gregg Wallace - A Piece of Cake” and I interview leaders in the Wellness sector learning how to become a better me. It’s fascinating!
I did manage to be home the weekend and my children, Tom and Libby visited with their partners – I love love love family time.
You may be aware that my beautiful little boy Sid is very autistic. With the help of a friend Peter McDermott, we have launched the Little Sid Rose. It is available from You Garden and £5 on each one goes to the charity Ambitious about Autism.
