I took a trip to Edinburgh. Always great to see the fabulous Tom Kitchin. He’s taken over an old coaching inn on the east coast, about 40 minutes from Edinburgh Airport. What a place – five minute walk to the beach and some of the best seafood I’ve ever eaten.
The weekend saw me with the family at a friend’s barbecue. I’m not a huge fan of barbecues, it’s fair to say I’ve criticised them in the past, it is, however, nice to share a drink with friends and importantly, they did have space for everybody to sit down.
