Last week was my birthday. I’m 59 years old you know, I feel fitter and stronger now than I did when I was 29 – it’s just looking after yourself.
In saying that, I was really unwell last week, terrible cold, which meant I had to cancel all social engagements. I didn’t even get to the gym. All the birthday stuff I was going to do didn’t happen.
I can’t tell you too much, but we’ve just filmed a wonderful Children in Need sketch with MasterChef it was so, so lovely and I can’t wait for you to see it.
This weekend, we had a photographer around to our house on behalf of the charity Ambitious about Autism. We have planted a beautiful rosebush named Little Sid. It’s named after my beautiful autistic little boy and it will go on sale soon and £5 on every sale goes to the charity.
I want to close by saying an incredible well done to the England rugby team. Nobody imagined you would get so far and nobody imagined you would play so well with so much passion in the semi-final. Boys, because of you, there is real pride in the England rugby shirt.
