Eat Well for Less
I was in and around Preston the early part of this week filming Eat Well for Less for the BBC. Met some very nice people and actually ended up having bit of a party on the train ride home, but that’s another story. I am really enjoying this Eat Well for Less, it’s a fascinating subject. It’s trying to help families save money on their food shopping, a huge subject I am sure you’ll agree.
Catering
I’ve had a couple of interesting meetings about catering. I am not sure whether I’ll get involved, but it is tempting. One is a site in Cornwall, the other one is getting involved with music festivals. I may be a bit old for music festivals; it might be a bit too noisy for me. Usually I only listen to music by dead people!
Rugby
Very disappointed for England and their tour to New Zealand, they are definitely making progress but I do wish they would stop kicking the ball away. New Zealand on the other hand look as strong and as sharp as ever. Later on today, I am driving up to the BBC Good Food Show in Birmingham, always a big shop, always have fun there. You can catch me cooking with MasterChef winner Lisa Faulkner.
Dinners
Next week I am going to have dinner at Angela Hartnett’s Café Murano in St James’. It’s my first visit. I have wandered past the window a couple of times and had a look at the menu. I am really, really looking forward to it.
Ascot
What I am looking forward to more than Café Murano is Ascot! I went for the first time last year and absolutely loved it. This year I’ve got my top hat and tails and I am in to the Royal Enclosure. I have worked out a foolproof way of coming back from the races with a small fortune. You take a large fortune to the races!
