MasterChef
The highlight of the week was without doubt, the fabulous Ping winning MasterChef. What a talent, what a girl, what a competition. I very very much look forward to eating Ping’s food again.
Lots of people ask me what the finalists are now doing. Well you can find out if you follow them on Twitter. Go to the nice people on MasterChef Twitter and I am sure they will be more than happy to pass on the Twitter names of past finalists.
Chatty Man
Chatty Man was a scream; Alan Carr is a very lovely and very funny man. Quite how he knew about my underwear or lack of, I’ll never know! That is some seriously in-depth research.
Caudwell Children’s Butterfly Ball 2014
I very much enjoyed the big fund raiser for disabled children at The Butterfly Ball. Great cause, great event. I know my view is a tad subjective but I thought my Anna looked stunning. I shared a table with the lovely Dave from the Hairy Bikers. You could tell we are both of an age, as we were the only ones on our table who got really excited about meeting Chrissie Hynde from The Pretenders.
Dinners
I had another lovely dinner at The Delaunay, simple food, prepared really well and served by professional staff. I am growing very fond of that place. In fact I am back there again next week.
Health and Fitness
I am continuing to brainstorm about a fitness and diet website. Fitness has had such a major impact on my life that I’d really like to share the knowledge. Not sure what format to put it in yet, but me and my trainer, Andrew, are working hard on it.
Family
A bit indulgent this I know, but I had dinner on Saturday night at my local pub in Whitstable, served to me by my 17 year old daughter, Libby. I am so proud of her; she wants to be an actress, so I suppose she had better get used to waitressing.
Coming up soon
Next week I get measured for my top hat as I am lucky enough to have a ticket for the Royal Enclosure at Ascot.
More importantly, I am up in Glasgow for the Ideal Home Show, I love Glasgow. Some of the funniest people I have ever met. My first morning in Glasgow years ago, I was getting a bowl of cornflakes in the Hotel; a wee fella tapped me on the shoulder and shouted “you, you’ve got 3 minutes”!
