It’s been a week dominated by Charity and some nurses in Leicester.
I am very involved with the Charity Ambitious about Autism – my own little boy Sid is very autistic and the Charity devotes its time and energy into helping with the education of young autistic people.
I auctioned a number of dinners to raise funds for the charity, and had the first one this week at Kanishka restaurant in London Mayfair. It’s a particular favourite of mine – fabulous Indian cuisine and I had a wonderful night.
We also hosted a 12-course Italian feast for two couples at my home in Kent. I have to give very special thanks to my wife Anna and my mother-in-law Rina, who put on an incredible show of stunning Italian food. Those ladies worked so hard and I’m so very very proud of the pair of them.
I was up in Leicester again this week at the Glenfield Hospital, helping nurses there with nutrition and weight loss, basically helping them organise their lives to make food a priority and showing them how quick and easy it is to make delicious nutritious meals.
I was also in conversation this week with a management team who, between them, look after 7500 Ambulance crews and backroom staff in Yorkshire. I plan to spend two days up there, helping them develop good healthy eating habits too.
